Fuel

We stopped in at Fuel coffee shop the other day after going to the bike shop and this interesting art display caught my eye.

So Many to Want

Bicycle shops are fun! Of course, going to one makes me want a fancy new one!

Two Things Challenge: Foot/Step

These feet were hanging up at my friend's baby shower.

This man and his two big dogs are all taking steps on their walk to somewhere.

Policing Segway Style

I remember someone posting a police officer on a Segway in another city and wondering if there were any in Seattle. I now know the answer is Yes! Here she is! She graciously allowed me to take her photo, so I'm counting this as part of my Strangers series.

Rosebud!

This sled hangs on the wall of the popular Rosebud on Capitol Hill. One of my favorite places to go for breakfast!

Hello!

Calf greeting Turtle. I was at the U-Village the other day buying my new Point and Shoot camera (finally!) and spotted these cute sculptures.

Stealing Recycling

These guys were taking cans out of the recycling bin. As a kid in Flagstaff I remember keeping all our cans. My job was flattening them so they took up less space. Then we'd take them in to the recycling center and I got the money I earned. I wonder if there is a place like that in Seattle that these guys are getting money from.

Sure Signs of Spring

We had Pussy Willows in the ditch behind our house when I was growing up. When they got fuzzy like this, it was a sure sign of Spring (as well as the flowers you see below)!

I didn't notice until today, but two days ago was post number 500! I can't believe I've made it this far.

Nesting

I went to a baby shower on Saturday night and this is the shirt that the pregnant mother to be was wearing. It is hard to tell here, but this is her baby filled belly which was moving quite a bit at the time. The little guy was quite restless!

Peeking through the Snow

It snowed and hailed on us last night as my friend and I were driving home from a baby shower, but it didn't seem to stick here in Capitol Hill. We haven't had any snow on the Hill today either, though I hear there is snow in other parts of the city. This shot was taken during our last snow storm. We've had many more than usual in Seattle this winter!

Update at 6:30: It's snowing now!

Here Comes the Bride, all Dressed in... Red!

I was walking by Brocklind's on Pike the other evening and saw this dress in the window. Now that is a dress I could get married in...

Daaa Dun. Daaa Dun. DaDun DaDun DaDun

This poor little shark was kept in a small penned in piece of ocean and would hide in the corner until this kid would retrieve him and hold him up for tourists to see. I guess it gave me an opportunity to see him up close, but I still felt sorry for him!

Shell Haven

There were many shells of various kinds to be seen on Isla Mujeres. You would see kids collecting shells along the beach for their parents who would later sell them to the tourists.

Guarding the Graves

These iguanas were sitting on the cemetery wall in Isla Mujeres. They seemed to be analyzing me to see if I was trouble or not.
