Two Things Challenge: Ugly/Pretty

This shot was taken in Lyon, France. I'll leave it up to you to decide which is ugly and which is pretty. I think it depends on your perspective. The shop on the left sells specialized men's shirts which are of an extremely high quality and price.

Avenches/Aventicum

We decided to go to Avenches, Switzerland one day after driving by it many times on the way to Basel. Little did we know what treasures were to be discovered there! It turns out that Avenches was once called Aventicum and was the Roman capital of the province! This amphitheatre could hold up to 16,000 people.

Annecy Redux - Shiny and Sparkly

We went into the church which, on the whole, didn't do much for me. I did, however, like the chandelier and the organ. At least as photography subjects.

Annecy Redux

We decided to head back to Annecy in the winter to see what it looked like with a bit of snow and show this lovely town to a guest who was visiting.

French technique

This is how they color hair in France. At one point I thought I might suffocate under the saran wrap! The color turned out well, but I'm still having trouble finding someone over here that knows how to cut curly hair!

All the Pretty Lights

We took a short photowalk at Christmas time to take pictures of the lights hung up along the streets of Ferney. They were so sparkly and pretty. Alas, my photos (handheld) do not do them justice.
