Hanging Shoes

I'm not sure why people do this, but you see a lot of shoes hanging around Capitol Hill!


This helicopter was hovering in the same spot during my entire walk to work this morning. I wonder what was up? Perhaps the Dalai Lama was on his way to his first speaking engagement.



I call this The Sentinel. The bird seems to be guarding these shoes!

    Interesting. I wondered about the drug thing, but I'm not sure that would explain the abundance of shoes.

    Yeah, I've heard the drug thing often enough that I gotta think all the cops know about it, making it a less good sign.

    I tend to lean more towards a group of kids just playing around or having an old pair of shoes to get rid of.
