My eye doctor is directly across the street from those sculptures. Friday afternoon, I had to stop by to pick up contacts and noticed that blue and white sphere-ish sculpture. I thought of photographing it, too. :)
I have seen these quite a few times, of course, but have never really studied them. I find them odd and interesting and got the impression that they were taking the place of real live trees.

ReplyDeleteCool sculptures! I'd love to see these one day.
ReplyDeleteMaya, these are really amazing. I like the angles you got on them - I love the 1st and the last one.
ReplyDeleterachel: Great minds...
ReplyDeletedc: I'll show them to you!
tash: They are very tall, so the angle wasn't really a choice! It was a challenge with lighting shooting into the sky like that.
interesting artwork here, pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteHow have I missed these? wow, beautiful, interesting, and kewl!!!

ReplyDeletedusty: Seattle is full of art!
ReplyDeletesherry: They are right in downtown Ballard.
linda: I have walked by them several times, but this is the first time I really studied (and photographed) them.
