The next day we drove NW of Verdun to the largest American cemetery in France: the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery. This cemetery covers 130.5 acres, and has a total of 14,246 dead bodies.
We arrived late in the day to the Ossuary, so I only took these photos of the building which is quite impressive. The ossuary is a memorial containing the bones of soldiers who died on the battlefield during the Battle of Verdun in World War I.
