Rising Above

Untitled
The last few posts featured the freezing fog we saw in the valley. The next couple are of our drive into the Jura to get above the fog for a bit and get some sun! Here the Alps rise above the fog (including Mont Blanc).

I couldn't resist taking this photo from the bus. Too bad about the reflection.

Taking a Break

Untitled
At the beginning of July, we took our friend's niece out for a photowalk in Nyon, Switzerland. It was one of the first beautiful sunny days we had this Summer. In fact, I got sunburned. It was worth it, however, as we had a fabulous time with Grace Ann teaching her a few photography tricks and meandering around the city. In this photo a couple of women decide to rest at the edge of Lake Geneva.

Mont Mussy, France

Untitled
Last May we went for a walk on Mont Mussy with our friends. We stopped half way for some wine. It was a bit chilly when we stopped, so Janet is holding Charlie in her lap so he can warm up. You can see Lake Geneva in the background.

Hiking La Dôle

Untitled
On Monday we went for a hike on La Dôle. It was a slightly overcast day which made for perfect hiking temperatures. Our friend, Erik, was nice enough to show us this place and accompany us. We loved it!

Peeing in the mountains is always better.

We saw quite a few Chamois.
