The homes and businesses over there seem so much more whimsical and carefree than in the US. The friendly Neighborhood Associations over here would have a kitten if someone put something like that on their roof.
I'm sure it depends on where you are. These are old towns and buildings. This is also a creative feeling town. I imagine many artists live here!
