Moving up the Coast

Next we visited a beautiful little town called Trinidad. It had these great views and a Lighthouse.

The California poppies were in abundance.

A bit further up the coast we stopped at a place called Patrick's Point and walked down to the beach to eat our picnic.

We stopped to take a walk in Richardson Grove State Park and look at the Redwoods. The following photos were all taken in this park.

Fort Bragg: The rest of the story

This was the view from our hotel room. Lovely!

After our wonderful breakfast at The Egghead Restaurant, we wandered around the town. One of the cute little stores was Pippi Longstockings. You know I HAD to buy some striped socks here!

A view of the coastline in the area.

Two Things Challenge: Yellow/Brick

We ate at this restaurant in Fort Bragg called The Egghead Restaurant. It was one of the best breakfasts we had on the entire trip! I highly recommend it if you are ever in this area.

4th of July, Geneva style

Shortly after arriving in Geneva, it was the 4th of July and I went to a party of ex-pats who were celebrating. This was a kosher meal and tasted delicious! Technically, we are actually in France just over the border from Geneva. Many people work in Geneva, but live in France where it is cheaper.

All the children (and a few adults) tried out the sparklers.

I left my heart...

We drove in to San Francisco to visit Janet's friend, Thea Hillman. She is a lovely person and a wonderful author. She ended up having her baby on my birthday a couple of weeks later (May 18th). Congrats to her!

We then headed into downtown to eat at Ti Couz. This is Janet's favorite restaurant ever, so I bought her birthday dinner there (though it was a few days early). I have to say, this was the best crepe I've ever had!

We wandered around a bit after eating and enjoyed the good light on the various buildings.

Hangin' With the Boys

We visited a fellow blogger and his partner in Concord and had a lovely time with them in between making trips into San Francisco. These are all shots from around their place which is lovely!

S's restored Thunderbird that we rode in to go out for breakfast!
