Vienna IV: Jugendstil

Untitled
We saw this building made in the Jugendstil style (also known as Art Nouveau and Secessionist). Some of the details are fun.

Vienna III: Karlskirche

Untitled

Untitled
They were doing restoration work inside the church, so there was scaffolding and an elevator inside. The advantage to this was that we were allowed to go up the elevator and see the paintings on the ceiling up close!

Vienna, Austria

Untitled
We spent a long day wandering around Vienna. We started in the Stadtpark where we saw this beautiful flower clock and a statue to Strauss.

Schloss Seebenstein, Austria

Untitled
Our next stop was visiting more of Janet's friends in Seebenstein. One of the days we were there, we walked up to this castle. Charlie loved this one best as he could be off leash for a nice walk through the woods on the way up, and then he got to run in a big grassy area on top by the castle. The castle was closed, so we only saw it from the outside.

Charlie wants to know what is inside the castle (as do we).

Wolfsberg, Austria

Untitled
We stopped for lunch in this little town. We did not have time to visit the castle, but I took this photo of the outside of it with the church in the foreground.
