Mountains and Mirrors

Untitled
Back to our trip to Austria last Spring! My parents and Janet decided to visit the salt mine near Hallstatt. We rode the funicular up and then had to walk about 20 minutes or so further up the mountain for the entrance to the mine. I am claustrophobic, so while they enjoyed the tour, Charlie and I walked slowly back down the mountain and enjoyed the wonderful views. The walk back was enhanced by these unusual mirrored sculptures placed all along the trail. I had quite a bit of fun with them.

Yeah, they're really cool. Functional, too, possibly, for anyone coming around a blind curve who needs to see what's ahead. Can they work that way?

They might be able to, but I didn't notice!
