Creux du Van, Switzerland

Untitled
Earlier this month, we decided to try some night photography at the Creux du Van, otherwise known as the "Grand Canyon of Switzerland." It is located in the Jura near Lake Neuchâtel. We looked at it in the afternoon first to enjoy it in the daylight and scout out a good spot for our night shots.

Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria, Germany

Untitled
Our last stop on the way home last Spring was Neuschwanstein Castle. This is another castle built by crazy King Ludwig II. It served as the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Unfortunately, the tickets were all sold out, so we only saw the outside.

Linderhof VI

Untitled
The artificial dripstone cave with its lake and waterfall was modeled on the Hörselberg from the first act of the Wagner opera "Tannhäuser". The electricity for the lights in the cave was generated by one of the first places in Bavaria to make electricity.

Untitled
On an extremely soggy day, we visited crazy King Ludwig II's palace, Linderhof, located in Bavaria, Germany. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take photos of the inside, but here are a few shots of the grounds.
