Room With a View

View from our room.
This Summer we visited the town of Leysin, Switzerland. My Czech great-grandmother, Ruzena Zatkova, died here in a sanatorium for people with Tuberculosis. She was only 38. This was the spectacular view from our hotel room looking down on Leysin with the Alps in the background.

Prague XXVI: Růžena Zátková: The Monograph

We went to the official opening of the Monograph (the big pink book in this photo) to go with the Exhibition on Růžena's work. It was a great opportunity to meet new family members in the Zatka line.

The current Zatka family.

Růžena's grandson Ivo Lucchitta (my father).

Prague XVI: Růžena Zátková Art Opening

My great grandmother's art opening took place in the Prague Castle. What an incredible room! I was amazed at how many people showed up!

The curator, Alena, gets ready to make her speech.

Two of my relatives watch the ceremonies.

I loved this kid with his suit, long hair, and camera. He is clearly a natural!
