Dog Day at the Beach

Today we went to the beach in Morges, Switzerland. We met other people who had adopted dogs from AIDAS (the organization we got Charlie from) and had a big doggy play date. We put Charlie in the water and let him swim for the first time. He also liked digging in the sand (we have never seen him dig before). It was a beautiful day and many sailboats were out on the water.

Playing in the Dunes

One of the days on Fuerteventura (in the Canary Islands), we drove to the sand dunes. We all had fun playing and walking in the sand (including the two dogs).

The biggest hotel we saw. It reminded me of a cruise ship.

We went to the beach for a few hours today. They had several diving boards AND a zip line!

Grillin' by the Beach

Tonight I spent a lovely evening at a friend's place by the water. We had an amazing dinner which began with grilled oysters.

The best accompaniment to oysters!

After they opened.

I couldn't resist this one even though the horizon is crooked.

Beach Day

When in Rio, one must go to the beach at least once, right? Though not really a beach person, I had to prove I was there by attempting to get some sun, so we headed to the beach today. Believe it or not, this was not a crowded day since it was Fall. Still, a tad on the crowded side for my liking, but it was a nice day nonetheless.

Nothing like sand between the toes!

Now that is a sandcastle!

Ahhh, young Brazilian love...
