Today is my friend's birthday, so several of us went to Balboa Park (in San Diego) to enjoy the sun and take photos.


These kids were holding hands and running around the Organ Pavilion. I remember those carefree days!

I flew to San Diego today to visit my oldest friend. By "oldest" I mean I've known her since 2nd Grade, not that she is old.

I'll be on vacation for a few days, so won't be updating the site for awhile. I will, however, still be taking photos every day, so expect a few posts for all the days I was gone when I return!

Best Hair Salon in Seattle

I searched high and low for someone that knows curly hair. Not an easy task in this city! I finally found her at Vain.


I was damn lucky I didn't end up walking in the rain today as I didn't bring my umbrella. Someone else was smarter.



Vain is in the same place as the old Vogue was. Some of us old timers remember going there. I think these walls have some pretty interesting stories to tell.

Le Book Club

It was the one year anniversary of our book club this month! I've loved this group and have read some interesting books.


This month's book. It wasn't great, but garnered interesting discussions because the author lied about it being a memoir and Oprah had picked it for her book club before this was discovered. We had a good time discussing what was real and what may have been creative license.
