Fuerteventura IV: Off the Beaten Path

We took my uncle's Jeep out into the wilderness for a beautiful walk. We saw a bit of wildlife as well. Unfortunately, the most interesting bird we saw was as we were driving by in the Jeep, so I couldn't get a shot of it.

Animal tracks

I'm sure one of you can tell me what this is.

Any birders out there know what this one is?

Another type of animal tracks.

I've been told by my cousin that the bird is probably the Great Grey Shrike.

Oh my gosh! How cool is this trip!
I've never even seen any photos of the Canary Islands - what a treat to be able to visit the islands AND esp. visit someone who actually lives there. It's like desert and coastline in one - both of which I adore. Fabulous photography.
I'll investigate the critters and get back to you. WOW - an amazing place. More please!

I, Too, have never seen photos of the Canary Islands. Wow! The blues of the sky and sea are breathtaking, and in stark contrast to the bare hills. Beautiful! And I loved that little church!

Well, I know one critter must be a sand crab...but I cannot find what kind. Still looking.
