Versailles, France
I'm trying to catch up on my backlog of photos from last year. The next few posts will be from our trip to Paris in June. We spent a day in Versailles and it was well worth the trip out of town! We took the English speaking tour and were pleased to find that you get to go into rooms that the general public does not such as L'Opéra.
Some of the rooms have amazingly colorful wallpaper!

I Gotta Have My Music!
Hanging out at the Geneva airport last June waiting for our flight to Paris. It was several hours late due to a strike (this is not unusual).

Charlie!
We finally settled on the name Charles (Charlie Boy) Bentley for our little Dachshund. It's a good thing he is really cute and sweet because the training process for a rescue dog has been a trial. He has a great deal of separation anxiety and for some reason doesn't want to leave our apartment to go for walks. Once we've gotten him away from the building, he is pretty good about walking, but not while home is in sight!
Charlie enjoys the occasional ice cube.

Fish Spa
We decided to be adventurous and try a fish pedicure at the Natural Fish Spa in downtown Geneva. It was an interesting feeling to have the little fish nibbling the dead skin off your feet, but worked remarkably well! They only let us sit there for a half hour before heading in to the rest of the pedicure. My feet were in a bad way so could have used much longer, but overall the results were good. I'd do it again!
The rest of the story (after the fish).

Marseille XIV: Bouillabaisse
The main reason for our trip to Marseille: the bouillabaisse! Our friend's son was having a birthday and every year they go to Marseille for this special fish soup. They bring the fish to the table for you to check out before they cook it so you can be sure it is fresh. The meal was most delicious. I think we may have to do this again!

Marseille XIII
Some people will swim no matter how cold it is!
And some people will watch them in amazement!
