After walking up quite a few stairs at the end, you are treated to this view near the dam. Unfortunately, they are making repairs to the dam, so the lake was quite low.

Les Gorges de la Jogne

Last weekend we went for a hike in Les Gorges de la Jogne near Gruyères, Switzerland. The hike was beautiful, but the trail was not very well maintained. We felt a bit worried on some of the bridges!

The Giger Museum Bar sits across from the Giger Museum where you can see most of Giger’s film designs, including the artwork of ‘Alien’ and ‘Alien 3’, ‘Dune’, ‘Species’, ‘Poltergeist 2’ and ‘The Mystery of San Gottardo’. Alas, we did not go in and have a drink, so I had to quickly snap a couple of photos from the entrance.

Gruyères, Switzerland: Fleur de Lys

We ate a wonderful meal at the Fleur de Lys. They had a good game menu (popular in the Fall) and a Mac and Cheese dish with Gruyères cheese. So good!






Charlie had company at this meal.
