Sledding Anyone?

If you walk out along a snowy path, you can go sledding. You can also see a tiny helicopter in this photo that landed on the snow.

Aletsch Glacier

The Aletsch Glacier is the largest glacier in the Alps. It has a length of about 23 km (14 mi) and covers more than 120 square kilometres (46 sq mi). The whole area is part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch Protected Area, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2001. In this photo the glacier is covered by a fresh snowfall so looks more like a valley filled with snow than a glacier!

Janet rides the cog train up to the Jungfraujoch. The station at the top is the highest train station in Europe and has been given the name "Top of Europe."

You can take a snowy walking path out to this sledding area. It has a long sled run and at the bottom you can take what appears to be an escalator back to the top!

You can take an elevator up to the observatory observation deck for even more views. Charlie did not like the metal grate.
