Heading out of Oregon and into Washington

These photos represent our last views of the Oregon Coast before crossing into Washington.

The Astoria–Megler Bridge which crosses the mouth of the Columbia River and took us across the border from Oregon to Washington. It is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America.

Devil's Punchbowl

We stopped at Devil's Punchbowl State Park in Otter Rock to visit my friend Dani who works there. We had a wonderful lunch with her in Newport before continuing up the coast. The squirrels seem to love this area!

This is Jared, Janet's new friend!

Sea Lion Cave

We stopped to visit the Sea Lion Caves just north of Florence, OR. They claim to have the world's largest Sea Cave. Too bad you can't smell it (or maybe it's for the best).

Oregon Coast

We drove into Oregon and stayed with a lovely fellow blogger, Cele. We had a nice time with Cele and her husband and got to meet their dog, Arlo. He is the biggest Basset Hound I have ever seen (and seems to think he is a lap dog)! Alas, all my photos of him were blurry. This was the best of the bunch.
