Birthday Flowers

Janet gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my birthday!

Yeah for Birthdays!

It generally takes more than one day to celebrate my birthday. Usually more like a month! Here are two more places I went with various folks to celebrate. This photo and the next two were taken at Blue C Sushi in the U-Village.

Birthday Flowers

My birthday is today. Since it falls in Spring, I generally think of flowers and happiness and fun on my big day. I hate planning things to do though. I know many many folks that have a birthday in May, so by the time I get to mine, I'm usually birthday'd out. These flowers were taken at the Ave Maria Grotto in Alabama and represent some of the wonderful flowers we've seen on this entire trip. Traveling in Spring makes for some great flower viewing!

Romance and Salmon at the Stumbling Goat

I got taken out for a belated b-day dinner tonight at the Stumbling Goat. I've been wanting to try this place for a long time as they support local farmers, ranchers, and independant producers. I was not disappointed!


This drink is called Romance. That would be a "kiss of Chambord" you see at the bottom.



I can't even describe how good this salmon was. Those are sea beans on top. I'd never had them before, but they are tasty.
