Vernazza, Cinque Terre, Italy

Untitled
Our next village in the Cinque Terre was Vernazza. A beautiful and colorful town as you can see in this photo of one of the many alleys with stairs. You can meander about in these alleys to your hearts content. We had fun getting lost and taking photos. Vernazza suffered from terrible flooding several years ago and has been rebuilding since then. I think this may be why the colors are so fresh and vibrant!

At the top of these stairs used to be long buildings.

Gorges de la Diosaz II

Rainbow!

I'm not sure why they posted these signs everywhere. Are they trying to tell us we could die at any moment without warning?

Apparently this door used to be a concession stand in the olden days.

Gorges de la Diosaz, France

Untitled
On Monday we went for a small hike up the Gorges de la Diosaz in France (near Chamonix). It was a lovely walk and nice and cool on these hot days!

Untitled
The fractured English on signs in these parts make us laugh. Notice on this sign how "dam" is spelled.

I think Charlie enjoyed the hike too despite all the stairs.

Fort l'Écluse

Last September, Janet and I decided to go for a drive. We stumbled across this fort and decided to have a look. It was worth the stop!
