I had many hours to kill in this airport, so walked from one end to the other and all around the "E" gates area. There was a lot of nice artwork to be seen (both by adults and kids). Here are some examples:
Obviously I've never been in the correct terminals in Atlanta, because I find ATL a total dog and a pit! But then, that could just be the terminal with the commuter flights from there to DC... These are great pieces of artwork! I love the quilt. It reminds me of an exhibit on African-American art I saw last summer at the National Portrait Gallery.
I had many hours to kill, so I can tell you exactly where to wander if you end up having time in this airport. Go underneath the "A" gates for the African art, and wander around the "E" gates for the kids art. These are at the two ends of the airport. Apparently that is the only part that they've done? I think they should put art all the way through the walking part downstairs!
