First Church of Christ, Scientist

This church on Capitol Hill is being renovated and turned into residential units. It's nice to see an old building being preserved for a change instead of torn down. It seems poor attendance is making it impossible to keep it a church. Apparently they used the space for a scene in a film before starting the renovations. I had a chat with some of the workers pouring concrete. They seemed quite jazzed about the project. Their enthusiasm was infectious. I'd like to see the inside when they are done!

This is a very cool entry! I like it. A lot. And it's great to see that a developer is appreciating and repurposing an old building. That's so much better than tearing it down and putting up another glass and steel minimalist structure.

Cool building for sure. Sweet talk the workers, into letting you in to snap some photos.

dc: It's too bad that it can't remain a church, but at least it's getting preserved.

dusty: I tried to sweet talk them! They said something about needing a hardhat. :P
