Stealing Recycling

These guys were taking cans out of the recycling bin. As a kid in Flagstaff I remember keeping all our cans. My job was flattening them so they took up less space. Then we'd take them in to the recycling center and I got the money I earned. I wonder if there is a place like that in Seattle that these guys are getting money from.

Interesting. Anything for a buck, I guess? Of course, I shouldn't judge too harshly. That might be me in a few months!

dusty: I've seen these guys roaming the neighborhood for years. They were in this situation long before the current economic downturn!

DC: I certainly hope noy! Of course, now you know how to make a little extra cash. ;-)

Well thats a new one on me! Better than scouring rubbish dumps and dirty rivers though.
I remember the cash for cans schemes, we had a squasher thing to save time!

Lisa: I remember being very excited when those came out and bought my parents one. I was already long gone by then, so they had to smash the cans themselves. ;-)
