We spent the remainder of the day and early evening in Bern before heading back to Geneva. Bern means bear in Switzerland and they have had a bear pit (the Bärengraben) with real bears since the 16th century. Here are a few photos taken around the old town.

Really nice. I esp. like the ones with the workmen. Bern is on my list of most photogenic places in Europe.
