Sacré-Cœur: The Bowels

Next we headed down to the Crypt to see more dead guys and whatnot.

This shot is for Alistair.

This one is for my grandfather, Bruno. May he rest in peace.

Sacré-Cœur II

I think this may be a lightning rod. What do you think?

We wandered around Paris with Virginia of Paris Through My Lens and Peter of Peter's Paris. They kept us well entertained!

Am I dreaming, or does that middle guy look like Lincoln?

Photo Friday: Fear

These are the stairs you have to climb to get to the top of the Sacré-Cœur. They filled me with fear as I have claustrophobia. They are tiny and wind up in the semi-darkness for a long ways. I had to be talked through the experience!

Sacré-Cœur

The Sacré-Cœur was probably one of my favorite places in Paris. We walked up the winding claustrophobic stairs to get to the top, but it was well worth it for the magnificent views and photo ops! More photos tomorrow...
