We got ourselves into a bit of a sticky wicket. Luckily, these nice men came along and helped us out. First a couple of young Frenchmen named Nicolas and Olivier (seen later paragliding), then the Postman (you see his truck in the background) who retrieved the man with the tractor. A big thanks to all of them! From now on, we'll just refer to this as "the incident."
The following are shots of Nicolas and Olivier practicing paragliding. We ran into them later on down the road after "the incident."
For the record, there is no driving and shooting when you're in the car with Maya. I have been firmly and repeatedly directed to keep both hands on the wheel and forbidden from having my camera anywhere near me, when I'm behind the wheel. Unless Maya starts doing the driving, my drive-by-shooting days are effectively over. No, ladies, this was a case of sheer over-confidence and stupidity. Plain and pathetically simple.
Ah, good to be able to depend on the kindness of strangers. :) Yikes about "the incident"...glad you are 'back on the road again'. O & N seem cautious - glad to see them practicing on low altitude before the big plunge.

Ugh. "The Incident." Thank goodness for Olivier and Nicolas. We'd have been screwed without them. Thanks, guys!
Let me just try and guess how the "incident" happened. J was driving and shooting at the same time again, oui? Thought so.

I'll go back to the art car in a moment. But the incident? I am glad you guys weren't hurt and that brawn was available to you.

Oh but Janet the stories you can now tell.

And you (Janet) have the gall to call my driving bad?
JDK: Your driving is bad! But in the best way.
