Mürren, Switzerland

We stopped in Mürren for lunch on our way down from the Schilthorn and enjoyed the view of the Alps and paragliders. You cannot get to this town by car. You must hike or take the gondolas.

This guy was practicing his paragliding at Cal Anderson Park in Seattle last month. I guess it's catching on everywhere!

100 Strangers Series: 15 and 16

We got ourselves into a bit of a sticky wicket. Luckily, these nice men came along and helped us out. First a couple of young Frenchmen named Nicolas and Olivier (seen later paragliding), then the Postman (you see his truck in the background) who retrieved the man with the tractor. A big thanks to all of them! From now on, we'll just refer to this as "the incident."

The following are shots of Nicolas and Olivier practicing paragliding. We ran into them later on down the road after "the incident."

Practice Makes Perfect!

This guy was actually practicing with his paraglider in the green space between our apartment building and the next one over. He was out there for a couple of hours!

Fun in Interlaken

We went to Interlaken, Switzerland in the heart of the Swiss Alps one weekend in the summer. We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the chocolate fondue and watching the paragliders floating out of the sky. I would like to try it someday!
