Marseille VI: The Crèche
One whole room inside Notre-Dame de la Garde was dedicated to this amazing crèche. It was much bigger than it looks in these photos.
Some of the figures were actually moving!

Marseille IV: Notre-Dame de la Garde
More images of the view from Notre-Dame de la Garde and the building itself.
On the island you can see Château d'If made famous in the book The Count of Monte Cristo.
The floors are made of beautiful mosaics.

Marseille III: Stations of the Cross
If you walk up the path to the Notre-Dame de la Garde, you will see these stations of the cross all along the path.
I seem to have missed #10, so Janet graciously loaned me her shot for this one.
Number twelve is shown just to the right of this huge Jesus on the cross.

Marseille II
A few things we saw hiking up to Notre-Dame de la Garde.
There is a reason they call them SMART cars!
A bust of Louis Braille.
Practicing my water in motion shots.
You lookin' at me?
