Commuting

The walk-on passengers are ready to walk off the ferry to Whidbey Island. Judging by the time of day, I imagine most of these people were working in Seattle and going home after work. Quite a long commute, but a nice one!

It's all powered by the flow of the water because it's attached to a line that goes across the Rhine (Rhein). It only takes a few minutes to cross and it feels much cooler on the water. I wanted to just keep crossing back and forth awhile, but we had things to see!

Homeward Bound

Today was a full day. We went up to Hurricane Ridge in the morning. The weather has been surprisingly mild for this time of year so there was no snow. The view wasn't as good as in years past due to the clouds. But I snapped a couple anyways...

Anchors Away!

I took a ferry over to bainbridge today. I had to wait for TWO ferries to go by because it was so busy! The upside was I ended up on the ferry just at sunset and dusk. Makes for great photos!

Night Ferry

I had dinner at Elliotts on the Waterfront after work with some friends and took this shot as we were leaving. It is so beautiful on the Waterfront at night!

What to do with all that pent up energy?

This is the latest addition to our team. Today happened to be mighty frustrating for all of us, so he got a lot of abuse!



We ate at Ivar's today on the Waterfront and this was the nice view of the ferry from our table. We ate inside which is much more expensive, so from now on I think I'll be sticking to the outside/cheaper option even if I have to brave the seagulls!
