Pride Parade in Geneva

The big crowds waiting for the parade.
The massive crowds waiting for the parade to start. I think you can hear the birds chirping...

To say we were underwhelmed by Geneva's Pride Parade would be an understatement. Of course, when you are used to seeing parades in Seattle and San Francisco, I guess nothing could live up to that!

Hey! A guy in a pink shirt! We start to get excited. This was probably about a half hour after that parade was supposed to have started.

Charlie is not sure whey we are here, but he is happy we are hanging out in the nice grass with him!

The start of the parade captured in video.

Finally it starts (I think it was an hour and a half late)!

I think it really should have been called a "march" as most people were walking IN it, not watching from the sidelines.

I'm afraid I wasn't fast enough to get a shot of the Sisters. This one is wearing Crocs. That is just wrong! I think I counted a total of 6 drag queens.

PRIDE

Last weekend Seattle celebrated PRIDE. This is a picture of one of the Macy's window displays.

This shot and the next few shots were taken at the Dyke Rally.

Sarah wasn't too sure about my camera pointing at her, but seemed happy enough to be at the Rally.

Bat-N-Rouge II

More images of the Drag Queens vs. Dykes softball game.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were in attendance.

To each his own.

Dancing Drag Queens

The game drew a large crowd.

This is no ordinary softball game. For donations people can buy all manner of things such as making people leapfrog, run bases, get an automatic home run, or be out.

In the end, the Dykes won this one because they brought in more donation money.

Bat-N-Rouge

Last weekend was the annual Bat-N-Rouge softball game with the Dykes vs. the Drag Queens. I took my SLR, but the batteries were dead! Drat. Luckily, I had my new back up point and shoot. I'm still learning all the features of this camera. This event was perfect to try out the action setting, so here you see the results of one "action shot." If they were in a flip book, it would look like a motion picture!
