Last weekend was the annual Bat-N-Rouge softball game with the Dykes vs. the Drag Queens. I took my SLR, but the batteries were dead! Drat. Luckily, I had my new back up point and shoot. I'm still learning all the features of this camera. This event was perfect to try out the action setting, so here you see the results of one "action shot." If they were in a flip book, it would look like a motion picture!

What kind of point and shoot did you end up getting? I'm always keeping my ears open for good ones!
Drag queens versus dike softball game!!! What fun! And really great photographs, thanks for sharing.
Rachel: It's the Nikon Coolpix S630. I was going to get the Canon, but they didn't have any in the store and I needed one right away before I went on my road trip, so I got the Nikon. I'm liking it so far. The zoom is a bit fast for me, so I have a hard time getting it just right sometimes. You would love the food setting though! I'll show you next time I see you.
Cheryl: It was fun, and your welcome!
Swing and a whiff! A stylish strike out.
my word for the day must be "wow."
Wow, great photo sequence, looking at the position of the ball in each picture makes me realize how quick the photos were snapped. great clarity.
Dusty: I agree!
Cele: I was pretty impressed with the action setting. I'll have to try it out some more...
Fabulous! I'm sorry I missed this. Guess we'll have to go together next year.
