Critters

This is my parent's view with the San Francisco peaks in the background. They put out a pan with water and a birdfeeder which attract many critters. Here are just a few!

I call this one: Where's Waldo? This was taken on a walk behind my parent's house. Can you see the Horny Toad here?

Heading to Flagstaff

We were lucky enough to be driving in to Flagstaff right at sunset, so got to see the San Francicso Peaks at twilight and silhouetted against the sunset.

Homeward Bound

This is the Flagstaff train station located in the middle of town. It's a great old building. The shuttle to the Phoenix airport picks you up here. Unfortunately, no train ride for me.

This was taken in the waiting area at the Phoenix airport while chatting on the phone with one of my favorite photo bloggers: D.C. Confidential.

The Peaks

We drove up the San Francisco Peaks today. It was a bit hazy, but still a great view. The mountain you see in the distance is Kendrick Mountain.

We did some mushroom hunting. These are Shaggy Manes. My parents love them. Unfortunately, I can't eat them or I get sick.

One or two of the Aspen were changing color, but it will be much better in a week or two.

I love my new lens!

Did I mention I love my new lens?

The Big Seven Oh

We had a party for my mother's 70th birthday today. Everything was perfect: good weather, good food, good company!

That blue sky to die for!

The shirt of the only teen at the party. It's nice to know she has her priorities in order!

A peek into my parent's sense of humor.
