Beach Day
We went to the beach for a few hours today. They had several diving boards AND a zip line!

Family Day by the Pool
Today was spent with lots of family in and around the pool. Good times.

Photo Friday Challenge: Beauty
We went for a hike in the forest that was burned in the Okanagan fire several years ago. It was amazing to see all the burnt trees, especially as a backdrop to the fireweed that was growing everywhere!

Road Trip!
It's been awhile since I went on a road trip. Hitting the open road gives one such a sense of freedom and leaving the work day life behind!
Our sweet ride. This is a Syncro that just had a Subaru engine put in. It definitely helped give it some power!
We drove up through the Okanogan in Washington up to the Okanagan (yes, they spell it differently) in British Columbia. We stopped in a small town that had a farmer's market and they had this map of the goods that are produced in the area.
Where else can you see two horses pull up to a mini-mart at a gas station? This is in the last town before the border called Oroville.

To each his or her own
I actually got up early enough this morning to take a couple of shots on my way to work. The light was beautiful and everything looked shiny and new after the rain last night. I will be on a little vacation the next few days, so may not be able to post until I return. Check back next weekend at the latest!
I think we are seeing more and more of these with the difficult parking and the price of gas going up. Which one would you pick?
