We now live in the small town in France called Ferney-Voltaire (or Ferney for short). Every Saturday morning, Ferney has a wonderful outdoor Market where you can pick up not only great fresh food, but also clothing etc. Look closely at this photo and you will see a swordfish with a lemon on it's "sword."

And the ever popular French jambon and chestnuts. Have you had the roasted ones yet? I've not but wonder why the heck I haven't! Check my Paris blog today for more goodies to be bought at French open markets! :)

Reminds me of a scene from the book "A Year in Provance" when he describes the early morning market. Wonderful capture. I esp like the nuts since I guess I like nuts. Great color on the mushrooms.
V: Haven't had the chestnuts. J keeps me away from them with her stories of horror! I think your market goodies probably trump mine today! ;-)
Tash: I like the nuts and mushrooms too. The markets in France are truly spectacular!
Dang do these pics look great!
Rob: Thanks!
Okay was a French Jambon?
