We've been switching over to
Agile development at work and the motto is
"be the pig" which my co-worker takes very seriously. His pig sits on his monitor looking at him all day. Apparently the pig had a little accident inflicted by another co-worker and his leg is now in a cast.

Awwww. Poor piggy!
He seemed to have miraculously recovered today!
I've not heard of Agile development & Pig - not ever - & we do a ton of employee involvement, teamwork, empowerment! Fascinating. I wonder if I can get the "be the Pig" movement going amonst our software developers. The pig is so adorable - I wouldn't mind him looking at me at all.
I was just at a 2 day conference on LEAN in engineering - main message - eliminate work in process, start when you can finish, do NOT multi-task! I now have to figure out a completely new way of working!
Wouldn't it be cool if, as part of the "Be The Pig" training experience, each person could get to wear a full-sized pig costume for one full day?...well...maybe not.:)
Oh, I *love* this.

(Agile, so trendy!)
tash and rachel: Yup, Agile is the new black. ;-) Lean, Scrum, all the new words you need to know to be trendy...
movielady: I'm sure that would stop the whole new process right there! Hah!
Never heard of it but the pig is cute.
prof: You probably don't need to know about it in your line of work (unless you have some aspiring Software Developers in your class!). But, at least now you will understand if you ever hear someone say: "Be the Pig!"
