Trolls!

We found this area near Sequim made up of several properties all of which had trolls on them in various forms. It was amazing! There were also unusual buildings that the trolls were guarding.

Each of these red fence posts is a carved figure like the one above, but most are trolls!

Is this place for real? Does someone live there? How wild and whimsical!

Someone (or more than one) lives there! It's crazy! I'd like to get the story on this place. Many of the properties are for sale, so my friends are asking their real estate agent about them to see what is up.

I LOVE the dragon gate!! And the goddess fence post is really very very cool...

I did a little (very little) digging for you all. It's Troll Haven. Website here: http://www.trollhaven.org/

Quote about themselves from the site:
"Troll Haven is magical, mystical sanctuary that has been created for our families, friends and especially for our children. This privately owned estate occupies 150 acres along Discovery Bay in Gardiner, Washington between Sequim and Port Townsend. Many of the homes are rental properties while other buildings/areas serve as event sites for extraordinary weddings, gatherings, parties, reunions, business retreats..."

Oo! Oo! Oo!!
And the Dragon's Keep is showing as available to rent right now...
...for $2500.00 a month! Ha! Oh well, too far out in the Boondocks for me anyway!

Wow, excellent carving work! I wonder how long it took to create all these.

Dy: Thanks! I'll have to add the link to my text later. It would be fun to stay out there for a day or two, but probably not a whole month (especially at that price)!

dusty: A very long time, I'm sure!

RAEch: Good to hear from you and glad you made it back to The Mountain! Addresses sent...
