It was a momentous occasion. They were partying in the streets about a block from my apartment, so I decided to join in for awhile. These are exciting times! To really get a feel, watch the videos!
Some people will do anything for a good photo!
This lovely couple was originally from the South and were having a lot of fun. "And to think, I used to be a young Republican," she said.

YES WE DID! So glad you went out and captured Seattle's reaction to Tuesday's historic election. What a great crowd. What a country!
dc: I am too! Getting off my lazy butt was a great thing to do on this historic occasion!
Wow! I wish we would have gone up to the Hill. We had a pretty happy crowd with us at JuJu in Belltown, but nothing like THAT!
dy: It was a blast! The excitement and good cheer were infectuous. I ended up chatting with strangers because I was there by myself which ended up being a good thing since I could wander about at will taking photos and video. They also interviewed me for the news, but I don't think that clip made it on because the crowd downtown was bigger!
Hi Maya,
Thanks for posting the picture of Brian and I. I just tonight remembered the name of your blog. That was an amazing night! Great to meet you. I will always look back at that night and smile- especially the moving of the buses!

Oh, and I have photos of you to share. I think you're in some of my videos, too. I posted them all on YouTube. Email me and I'll send them to you.
