Wupatki National Monument

We drove a loop road near Flagstaff that has both Sunset Crater (yesterday's post) and Wupatki National Monuments. Wupatki National Monument is made up of many small ruins scattered about the landscape. The main ruin by the Visitor's Center is Wupatki Pueblo which has been dug out and fixed up to give a better example of what these ruins looked like.

Eastern Indians checking out the pueblos.

This is the Citadel Ruin which has not been fixed up. The next few shots are of this ruin.

Nice photos. Wind notwithstanding, I really enjoyed seeing this pueblo.

Hey, where's the picture of me popping up like a jack rabbit? ;-)

Janet: Yes, the wind was terrible that day! That photo didn't get included since it wasn't that good overall. You were too far in the distance. :P
