Sweet Tooth

Our favorite place to get little pastries for dessert and croissants is Brocards in St. Genis. The baker has won several awards for his pastries. So far, they have been the best we've tasted (including the ones in Paris)!

So pretty! Although I've never understood the desire to eat a cake shaped like a bug (or a marzipan shaped like a rat or...)

Ok what is that on the top left that looks like an ant?
Now let's talk and drool over the macarons. I want a nice caramel one with my coffee this morning s'il vous plait!

la: I'm not so sure about that either. But, still, I like the ladybug!

V: It does look like an ant! I'm not sure if it's meant to. You may have a caramel one with Janet's yummy coffee. Of course, you'll have to come here first!

Have you read The Sweet Life in Paris by David Lebovitz? If not, you should run out and buy it. I think you'd really enjoy it.

sprizee: That sounds like a good book! I've added it to my wishlist.

They make carmel macaroons? Oh heavens. The ladybug cake is pretty. But the first pictures look like inedible little hat boxes or something.
