It seems I am too late again for the challenge. I keep thinking we have until the end of the day, but I'm posting my photos anyways!
From the Judy Collins Songbook. I would love to learn how to play this on the guitar someday.
Some of the best lines ever written in my opinion! Leonard is a genius.

Great song. I keep coming back to Chelsea Hotel No 2 and Hallelujah though. "we are ugly but we have the music..."
They are all great! I've heard so many great renditions of Hallelujah.
How did I miss this?! Well, no matter. I've just added it to 2TC.
I love the close up in the first picture. As for those lines in the second, AMAZING!
d.c. You didn't. I was late. I have to start getting them in by Saturday instead. I think it's the time difference that is killing me!
The two photos are from the same song (Suzanne). Those lines get me every time!
I'm not familiar with this tune. I probably have heard it, but can't picture it. Seeing that trebble cleff thingy takes me back to J.r high band days.
Maya, that's lovely. I agree with you on those lines. Another one of my favorites is "Who knows where the time goes" by Sandy Denni. I had an old tape of her singing it & just found it again on iTunes.
dusty: Oh, you MUST! Either the Leonard Cohen or Judy Collins version!
Tash: That is a good one too! I have that around here somewhere (on album I believe).
Just going through your archives tonight and came across this one. I have to tell you this song is one of the reasons my daughter is named Suzanne. And, I think Judy's 7 note repeating guitar part in her version really makes the song come alive. Leonard's forte is writing, and although his voice is very interesting, I usually enjoy other's interpretations of his earlier works. I have a whole album of Jennifer Warnes singing covers of his stuff. I love your photos here.

Thanks Kim! I just love this song. I'm not sure I've heard a version I didn't like. I do love listening to both Judy and Leonard singing it!
