Alaska Building

This is the Alaska Building. They have been restoring it for many months now inside and out. I'm glad to see them doing this rather than tearing it down to build something new!

Detail. Notice the building's name on the right side.

I hate it when the city tears down cool buildings only to build glass boxes. I wonder why the red brick extends part way up thi sbuilding.

I'm kind of bummed about what's going in there. Courtyard by Marriott but I am glad at least they're not tearing it down. Hope they restore it up right. Like they did with the Artic Building just down the street.

dusty: I've always wondered that too.

sprizee: What is going on inside? It seems you have more info than I do. I haven't checked out the Arctic yet. Is that the one with Juno?
