La Coupole

We decided that after walking all over Paris, we should have a good meal. We ate at La Coupole in Montparnasse which was a place artists and intellectuals used to hang out similar to La Select which I featured earlier. This was Virginia's meal which we agreed later was probably the best one!

My foie gras appetizer.

I had the steak tartare.

Yummy sorbet!

The dome (coupole) had a crazy painting in it!

Even the bathrooms were fancy. Pink toilet and green marble!

Looks delicious! How was the steak tartare? I wanted to try it, but settled for the snails.

Martin: yes

Peter: I only posted a few of the meals. It was great having dinner with you too! We'll have to do it again.

Dusty: I loved the steak tartare. I didn't get snails. Next time...

Sherry: I'm still working in Geneva. My blog is a bit behind! Actually, it is way behind. I've taken several trips since Paris that I still have to post about, but I took so many photos in Paris, that it will take awhile to catch up!

V: I don't usually eat dessert either, but Janet does and I am easily led too!

I had this on a suggestion list during our last trip, but didn't make it there. Would you recommend it as a must stop?

Rachel: Hmmm, that is a tough one. If you are going on food value alone, then probably not. However, if you are going for historical value and a pretty good meal along with interesting atmosphere, then yes, do go! I think the meat dishes were good (my steak tartare and V's steak).
