Homeward Bound

Today was a full day. We went up to Hurricane Ridge in the morning. The weather has been surprisingly mild for this time of year so there was no snow. The view wasn't as good as in years past due to the clouds. But I snapped a couple anyways...

Trolls!

We found this area near Sequim made up of several properties all of which had trolls on them in various forms. It was amazing! There were also unusual buildings that the trolls were guarding.




















Each of these red fence posts is a carved figure like the one above, but most are trolls!

Discovery Bay

After lunch we drove down to Discovery Bay near Sequim. The sun came out every once in awhile and there was no wind making for some nice reflection shots.

I took a ferry over to bainbridge today. I had to wait for TWO ferries to go by because it was so busy! The upside was I ended up on the ferry just at sunset and dusk. Makes for great photos!

Busy Day!

This is Mishka. She greeted me on my way downtown today. Shortly after this photo was taken, she decided she didn't like the look of the camera at all and started growling and barking.

A group of us ate at Boom Noodle after watching a movie tonight. The food is fantastic, but a bit pricey for what you get.

Ugh. Traffic!

We tried going for a walk today at lunch in the land of big box stores and office buildings. We walked to one such store (one I usually avoid on principle) because it was the closest. The walk was not very pleasant as there was a lot of traffic and concrete. The sidewalks were also tiny forcing us to walk single file if we wanted to avoid possibly get hit by a truck side mirror whizzing by!

I was looking around my desk today and realized that the bag of M and M's that the builders left us all on our new desks were mainly green and yellow. I ate the white ones and took a shot for the challenge.

Seattle Sunset

I saw the most amazing sunset while walking home from the protest downtown. Unfortunately, my memory card was full! Once I got home, I grabbed the other camera and ran out onto the fire escape to catch what remaining bit I could.

Prop 8 Protest

Today was the protest on Prop 8. Thousands of people showed up to march and rally. It was great to see so much support for equal rights!
