The "Hill Country"

Many people said that if going through Texas, we should make sure to drive through the "hill country." We now understand their enthusiasm. It was beautiful! We took smaller roads and saw incredible views both in the distance and of the many wildflowers along the roads. Lovely country!

Anywhere I can find fields of flowers I'm happy. These look like Rubeckia and Monks Hood, but I'm not sure what the red are. Beautiful tree scape.

The first photo of flowers reminds me of a Monet watercolor. You really have an artist's eye.

I think one of the biggest surprises of this trip was how beautiful the Hill Country was. If I lived in Texas, this is where I would settle. It was beautiful and your photos show that.

Cele: Me too! I love flowers.

movielady: Thanks!

Janet: Thanks! I would have to choose that part of Texas too.
