Today was the first warm and sunny day we've had in a long time. It wasn't surprising that many people had the same thought as me and took a late afternoon walk around Greenlake. I'ts about 3 miles to walk the circumference. Many of the ducks had little ones swimming around with them. So cute!
Those are yellow iris' in the front. I've never seen them that color before!

Ah, Sunday mornings at Greenlake. I used to be there all the time with the shelter dogs. Unquestionably, any time the sun came out, it was jam packed with people & dogs.
Maya, what a pleasant scene! Now that the cold seems to be banished I think I will try to walk it in the evenings. Sweet shots of the water fowl and offspring. Did those Canada geese give you any grief for getting so close to their goslings?
And the salmon from your recent shot. . .oh my. It looked so wonderful in that light. Looks like you are getting to explore some great places! I enjoyed going right along with you vicariously. ;^)

maria: The sun does indeed bring everyone out. I think even more people were out for Father's Day and graduation.
kim: I really lucked out with the salmon shot because we had the only table in the place with a bit of sun on it!
I was hoping to get a better shot by getting closer to the goslings, but the mother was giving me the stink eye, so I decided not to risk it. You don't want to get in the way of a mad mama goose!
Love that little independant duckling. We have yellow irisis in our garden next the the light blue ones. Finally, spring is here..?
Greenlake looks like a lovely place to spend the afternoon.
All these pics are wonderful, especially the lone duckling.
dusty and artful eye: that little guy was TINY! probably the smallest i've ever seen. unfortunately it's hard to tell from the photo since there is nothing in the water to compare him to. he was definitely an independant little guy!
Fabulous springtime photos. That first one really took my breath away. I love the blues and greens and yellows, which are so simple and direct, and then the shock of that white sailboat amongst all the others, sort of like a contradiction to all the rest. There's some poetry in that picture, and a story.
Love it, love it, love it! Suitable for framing!
d.c.: Thanks! I like all the colors too.
