Meanwhile, back in Seattle...

I went to Folklife this weekend to meet fellow Seattle photoblogger, Christy, of On Focus Photo who had a booth there. I really enjoyed meeting her, however, was anxious to get out of the insane crowd as soon as possible. Here are a few photos I managed to snap before leaving.

Looks like a fun venue to shoot despite the crowds.

I've always been curious about the Folk Life festival, but the thought of all of those people crowded together keeps me away.

Dusty: If you can stick it out, you can get many great photo ops!

Linda: It used to be fun, but the older I get the less I can handle big crowds like that!

So this means you're not going to thread your way through the crowds at Bumpershoot this fall? You are a girl after my own heart.

I wouldn't pay for that kind of pleasure... ;-)

Wow! I see what you mean about the crowds. Bummer. Great pictures, though! I hope Kristy did well at the festival.

Christy: It was great meeting you too!

Janet: Yup, mighty crowded. Makes for good people shots though.

Wow - great shots. Love the washboard guy, and LOL! on the "2 ugly to", and what an amazing angle on the monorail.

Tash: Thanks! I thought that sign "2 Ugly to" was great too!
