Washington: The End!

You will have a hard time convincing me that people aren't still clearcutting after seeing this!

We had a great room in Long Beach for our last night before arriving back in Seattle and the heavens gave us one last beautiful sunset! This was the end of our 4 week long road trip from Washington D.C. to Washington State. One of the best trips I've ever been on. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

What a great experience! I hope to do that one day.

People most definately are still clear cutting. The difference is the way they clear cut, the actions taken afterwards, and their better stewardship of the earth and environs now than in decades past. What isn't done now is clear cutting large swaths of old growth timber anymore. And the law requires a replant. Those barren trees will be tall timber with in 20 years.

Thank you for making me and my home a part of the Sea to Shining Sea tour, part two. You both were wonderful guest, enjoyed and appreciated.

Now bring on Europe.

Cheryl: You really should! It was great. Just make sure you have a good, easygoing traveling companion (or go alone).

Cele: We had a great time at your place. Thanks for letting us stay!

Don't worry, Europe is next up. You'll probably be sick of it in no time! ;-)

Long Beach was a lovely end to a long trip. (And a nice place to spend my birthday. Thank you!)
