Arc de Triomphe
I wasn't feeling too well by the time we got to the Arc de Triomphe, so not too many photos. It was probably from the ice-cream I ate on the very touristy Avenue des Champs-Élysées!
This pedestrian tunnel was the only way to get to the arch itself because it's surrounded by a HUGE traffic circle. We watched some guys try to run across and get in trouble by the police (and almost run over while they were at it).

Academie Nationale de Musique
The outside of this building was impressive. I wonder what the inside looks like? These shots are all around this building.

Two Things Challenge: Early/Late
Let's face it, you are either early or late for the bus. These folks were waiting for a bus in Paris. Judging by their expressions, I'd say the gang on the left was late and the people on the right were early. The guy walking out of the frame had just given up! What do you think?

Notre Dame: Inside and a bit more Outside
Part of the big chandelier that is now on the floor where one can see it up close!
The magnificent doors.
Door detail.
Many of the figures have no heads.

All the little teapots, short and stout...
We continuted on through some little streets with shops on our way to Notre Dame. We saw some fun display windows!
This painting was on the side of a law enforcement building. I guess they want to advertise!
At last we reach our destination at the Grand Dame herself. Stay tuned to see shots of the inside tomorrow!

Playing Ping Pong in the Park
These ladies were playing ping pong in the Jardin du Luxembourg Park which is a beautiful place to do many different activities or just relax and take it all in. It surrounds the Luxembourg Palace.
Exercise class.
A great place to study the map and see where to go next!
It's also a good place to stop and review the photos you've taken so far.

Paris Day 1: In the beginning
We had breakfast at a lovely place where the people watching was great (this is true everywhere in Paris). We learned early on to share our food with the wasps.
The ironwork here puts New Orleans to shame!
Never fear, there are still phone booths left in the world for Superman to change in. He must have used this one (note the clothes left in the bottom)!
